LOST season 6 episodes 1 & 2
After the jump check out the live blogging between Volume_Knob and me. There will be spoilers (and not just for LOST, I think there's a Twilight one in there too) so you've been warned.
Lost
Ok, I'm finally caught up with LOST so where are all these spoilers and theories that I was trying to avoid this whole time? I'm surprised at how much I like the show. I know that everyone loved the first couple seasons but it seemed like from the third on, people just LOST interest (ha ha) maybe it was because of the TV scheduling. I had everything on Netflix streaming and because of that, I was able to watch 2 a night, without interruption and thought it was great. Now it's time to wait, and man I'm not looking forward to that!

Last night I finished watching the first season of LOST thanks to Netflix Streaming and my handy dandy Xbox360.
"What the hell took you so long?" you may be asking. Well, my good friend, and once very active contributor to SGOP, Stev, warned me that if I rented the first disc of season one I'd immediately run out to the store and get all the seasons.
It’s not like the show is worth it, but just like everyone in America (and maybe the world) extra cash is really hard to come by. (Note to self: Maybe talk about money as debt in a future post?) I just can’t find the extra funds for $50 box sets. Okay maybe I can but that’d mean cutting back on comics and baseball games.
Okay lets get back to this very lucid, informal review of LOST season one.
It’s good. I knew it was going to be good going into it though, so to say it was good even when my expectations where already really high is a testament. And if you were one of the many that started watching this show from the start, I can totally understand how everyone was going crazy over it.
So far my favorite characters are Hurley and Mr. Locke. I can see myself in Hurley as he seems to have the purest intentions on making sure everyone is comfortable. He’s a kind-hearted character that also reminds me a lot of Stev and I hope nothing terrible happens to him as the seasons progress. The first time I heard Locke say “It’s what the island wants us to do” I had to chuckle. It was one of those uncomfortable chuckles because it seems like a silly statement but I can relate. I’ve been playing a lot of Farkle on Facebook and often late at night, or when I’m drunk, I start to come up with these rules for what the dice wants me to do. Some of the rules include: don’t be greedy, if you can bank then do it - never go for the extra roll and bank every possible dice you can, don’t re-roll a five hoping for a one. Ok so maybe I can also relate to Hurley cause I’m a little crazy – although at this point in the show I haven’t found out exactly why he was in the institution.
I also really like the fact that all the characters are interconnected. You’ll see Sawyer sitting down with Jack’s father in the bar or Hurley on the TV while the Jin delivers the message for Mr. Paik. I enjoy that much more then when you find “the numbers” on the soccer jerseys in the airport. For some reason that feels forced, yet the characters interacting with each other before the flight doesn’t.
I am looking forward to watching the remaining seasons and I hope to be caught up on this show by the time the final season starts this January. If you haven’t watched LOST yet, give it a try! It’s on Netflix Streaming and Hulu so there’s no reason you can’t.

Not as good as the first season but still had some strong episodes. Hope it gets better in the third. 3/5

I can’t stop watching/thinking about it. The characters are as complex as they are dumb. Great show! 4/5
